Breastfeeding

We understand that many women may feel uncertain or apprehensive when deciding between breastfeeding and bottle-feeding. It’s natural to have many questions about breastfeeding, and our doctors are here to support you.

La Leche League was established to provide information and encouragement, primarily through personal support, to mothers who wish to breastfeed. Their mission is to help mothers worldwide by offering mother-to-mother support, guidance, information, and education, while also promoting a deeper understanding of breastfeeding as a crucial element in the healthy development of both baby and mother.

Car Seat Safety

As a parent, one of your most important responsibilities is ensuring your child's safety while riding in a vehicle.

Every year, thousands of young children are injured or killed in car crashes. Using car safety seats correctly can protect your child, but with so many options available, it can feel overwhelming. If you are expecting a baby, consider consulting with a certified passenger safety technician (CPST) before your baby arrives to ensure a safe ride home from the hospital.

The right car seat for your child depends on factors like age, size, and developmental needs. For more information on selecting the best car safety seat, consult the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Immunizations

Immunizations are one of the most significant achievements in preventive medicine and a crucial aspect of well-child care. Our practice adheres to the immunization guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Product Recalls

Child products like cribs and toys are sometimes recalled due to defects or safety hazards. Staying informed about recalled items is crucial to keeping your child safe from potential dangers.

Check the Consumer Product Safety site regularly to make sure the products your child uses on a day-to-day basis have not been recalled by the manufacturer or the federal government.

Travel Safety

Children may experience the same health risks as adults during travel, but the impact on their health can be more severe. Recognizing illnesses in children can be challenging, particularly if they are too young to communicate their symptoms. Additionally, their small size and natural curiosity may increase their likelihood of encountering certain health risks, such as interactions with animals. If you're planning to travel with children, it's important to review the information provided on this page to help ensure everyone's safety and well-being.
